When people say you should always be ready and prepared for the opportunity when it presents itself, that doesn't necessarily mean you have to know everything and be completely polished. But what it does mean is that you should  have your bags packed and at the door waiting for your ticket to arrive for your next destination.

You are ready for the next level if you have been faithful in doing what you do and consistent with what you are.

And that is your preparation!

I was thinking about this the other day...Many of us work jobs and faithfully show up everyday putting all effort into our employers. Even though we know there's a possiblity the business could go belly-up at anytime. Yet, we still put our trust in these companies. Why? I believe it's due to our visiblity of the results. We know every week or every two weeks we'll receive a physical check or see a direct deposit in our bank account. What's amazing about this is we know without a shadow of a doubt our check will be there, even when we begin in a new job, we are certain our money will be there after only a couple of weeks of working. We have faith in this carnal system, which by design is not perfect. Everything in this natural realm is doomed for some kind of failure. The only chance of hope in anything is through God's assistance and by His hand.

With that being said, we should really strive a little harder to put more faith into what the Word says instead of taking the full plunge of "faith" into the physical means.

Our faith truly is determined by our faithfulness. So, what are you being faithful to?

At the beginning of the year I faced a tremendous transition which caused some major difficulties.  I realized I was being nudged into a new position, in addition to submitting to obedience. Change is not always easy, as most of us know. However, change is necessary at times to catapult us to the next level. In the process of change there are some uncomfortable, inadequate and irritating moments. It's uncomfortable because you're walking onto unknown territory. Being "The new kid on the block" creates unequal or incapable feelings at times.  Combining these two together, equals total irritation! And with the right mix of these ingredients this creates a recipe for complacency and possible disobedience!

During this turbulence I experienced frustration with myself and God. Thank goodness, that didn't last too long (the frustration with God, that is). Because I was reminded that He's the one who put me there!

There are times when we create circumstances for ourselves and then there are times when circumstances are created just for us. The latter are the most favorable. (Jeremiah 1:5 Before I formed you in your mother's womb, I chose you. Before you were born I set you apart).

Therefore, being obedient has nothing to do with you! When God asks you to do something he has a strategy in mind... to fulfill the plan He set in place long before you arrived. He just happened to choose you to play a part in the overall outline. God has an agenda. Hence, take the pressure off yourself! You didn't set the itinerary, He did! You don't have to worry about what others think or say; the uneasiness or the inclination to shrink back.

What's the solution? Walk through the door of obedience with boldness, confidence and expectation. Because it has nothing to do with you! It's all about HIS agenda!

Remember: Listen carefully and obey immediately!
